Almost everyone has a story about that inexplicable gut instinct that somehow steered them, or somebody they knew, away from certain disaster. But here's the thing: what if intuition isn’t so mysterious at all? This talk explores the fascinating biology, evolution, and neuroscience behind those signals our bodies send us, and how understanding them can help us make smarter, faster decisions for the present and our future. Kailynn Murphy is a senior at Woodcreek High School with a long history of interest in medicine. Ever since she was little, she's had a fascination for the medical field and spends her spare time watching documentaries, as well as taking care of her room full of plants. At school, she owns the Horticulture Club, an initiative focused on community gardening and sustainability while emphasizing beneficial mental and physical health habits. Outside of the campus, Kailynn works as a lifeguard and swim instructor for the city. She hopes to study radiology, orthopedics, or neuroscience in college and, in the future, continue traveling the world to see different cultures and ways of life.
