- 11:59Why Wasting Time Might Save You | An Thy Nguyen | TEDxISPH YouthIn a time when being ‘busy’ is worn like an achievement, speaker An Thy challenges an idea we rarely question: What if rest shouldn’t be something we earn only after exhausting ourselves? In her talk, titled ‘Why Wasting Time Might Save You’, An Thy will explore how breaking free from burnout culture requires us to rethink the connection between self-worth and productivity. I’m a high school junior passionate about philosophy, education, and the way young people make sense of the world. In my upcoming TEDx talk, “Time Trap: Breaking Free from Toxic Productivity,” I explore how the pressure to constantly optimize time fuels guilt, burnout, and fear of falling behind. The talk challenges the belief that rest is wasted time and questions the obsession with finding a fixed life purpose, offering a perspective that values sustainability, flexibility, and self-acceptance. Oggi è Presidente dell’Associazione Comunità Giovanile Onlus, dove continua a trasformare la vulnerabilità in forza, spesso intrecciando educazione, lavoro agricolo e relazione autentica.
