- 5:17Stay Positive | Olivia Borengasser | TEDxYCIS Chongqing YouthIn this TEDX Talk Olivia recounts her experience of attending summer camp in Texas and being away from her mother and father for the first time. She explains why emotions associated with being negative such as fear and anger are actually meant to help us. However, often we react to negative emotions when we don’t need to. She sites research about positive and negative thinking to persuade the audience to give more attention to helpful positive thinking. Olivia Borengasser has attended YCIS since K3 and currently attends Year 5 at YCIS Chongqing. She is an active girl who enjoys football, rollerblading and bicycling. As a K4 student, Olivia covered her entire face everytime she and her classmates got on stage—she couldn’t stand all of those parents, teachings and classmates looking at her. Now that’s all changed. Olivia has been involved in TEDX talks since Year 3 and is passionate about getting on stage to share what she feels strongly about.
