- 15:56Finding peace at Club Midlife | Helene Philipsen | TEDxPromenade des AnglaisHelene Philipsen offers a sharp and refreshingly funny take on the often-overlooked midlife chapter—where nothing feels the same, and everything suddenly comes with a user manual (including your body). In a world obsessed with youth and productivity, she makes the case for slowing down, letting go, and embracing the honest absurdity of it all. This talk challenges the narrative of midlife as a crisis and reclaims it as a season of reinvention—with soft pants, strong boundaries, and real peace. Club Midlife™ is open… and the snacks are excellent. Helene Philipsen is an experienced mental health consultant and executive coach. She works with Corporations and individuals alike from her base in Copenhagen, Denmark.Helene developed the Unlearn Method which she applies in all of her work. She is a speaker, podcaster and former radio host. Helene has co-authored several published books and guides on stress management, addictive patterns and codependency.Helene's background is in psychology and coaching. Her work can be described as “surprising new solutions to old problems” and facilitating tangible results, whether this it’s through consulting an organization or working with the individual. - 18:52Reimagining life through the lense of death | Svenja Krüger | TEDxInnsbruckSvenja is a documentary photographer and storyteller whose work explores the profound connections between life, death, and cultural traditions. After the loss of her father, Svenja founded “Stories Matter,” a platform dedicated to capturing the narratives that define our existence, especially in the face of mortality. Her work has taken her around the world, documenting death rituals such as Mexico’s Day of the Dead, Ghana’s fantasy coffins, and the sacred practices in Varanasi, India. Svenja’s TED Talk, “Reimagining Life Through the Lens of Death,” delves into how facing mortality can inspire us to live with greater intention, using examples from her photography of stillborn children and her own pre-planned funeral as acts of legacy and celebration. Through her lens, Svenja invites us to see death not as an end, but as a profound influence that enriches the way we live our lives.
