- 16:33Viața dulce? S-ar putea să fie stricată de la gust | Ana-Maria Udriște | TEDxCopouAna-Maria Udriște took the TEDx Copou stage with a brave, vulnerable talk on burnout, social pressure, inner emptiness, and the need to rediscover your authentic voice. Even when you reach society’s definition of success—the “sweet life”—you can feel drained and hollow, because true fulfilment doesn’t come from ticking off external goals, but from aligning with your own emotions and needs.Thought-provoking lines that echoed in the room: ? “Nice girls burn out—quietly.” ? “Success that wrings you dry is just exhaustion with a pink filter.” ? “Choosing sweet hurts when the only flavour you know is guilt.” ? “Give your life a flavour—your flavour, not someone else’s.”Her talk wasn’t just a message; it was a mirror. Many of us saw ourselves in it. It’s time to change the flavour of life, not just the packaging. - 11:52Inteligența Artificială între Beneficii și Provocări | Adrian Iftene | TEDxCopouAdrian Iftene stepped onto the TEDx Copou stage for the very first time! His talk showcased how AI is reshaping vital fields—medicine, law, computer science, and education—by giving professionals advanced tools that dramatically amplify their capabilities. Yet he also cautioned that technology is not infallible; AI-generated inaccuracies remain a real risk. That’s why experts are indispensable: they must supervise, think critically, and correct errors quickly. His message was a powerful reminder that technology must be understood, not merely used. His areas of expertise include natural language processing (named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, question-answering systems), social network analysis, image processing, augmented and virtual reality applications, conversational technologies (such as Amazon Alexa), gesture and eye-tracking control, as well as advanced software engineering. So far, he has been involved in 20 research projects (10 international and 10 national), 10 operational programs, 6 ERASMUS mobilities, and 3 COST actions. He served as project director in three major projects (MUCKE, Compet IT&C, and IRSmart), and as scientific coordinator in the STAGES project. In recent years, together with his students, he has developed innovative smart health applications and AI-driven solutions targeting conditions such as colorectal cancer, stroke, atrial fibrillation, Alzheimer's disease, malaria, and tuberculosis.
