Nel suo talk, Giulia Heliaha Di Loreto ci accompagna in un viaggio attraverso il tempo e il linguaggio, alla scoperta del termine greco “àloga”, usato da Aristotele per indicare ciò che è “privo di linguaggio o di ragione”.
Da questo concetto, la filosofa ricostruisce le origini culturali della discriminazione: dalle donne perseguitate come streghe, agli animali ridotti a risorse, fino al pianeta stesso trattato come oggetto di sfruttamento.
Con parole lucide e incisive, ci invita a riconoscere come l’idea di “inferiorità” attraversi i secoli e continui a modellare il nostro rapporto con il vivente - ricordandoci che ciò che definiamo “irrazionale” è forse la nostra parte più autentica e vitale. Giulia Heliaha Di Loreto, filosofa, autrice, attivista e divulgatrice antispecista ed ecofemminista, da circa dieci anni si occupa di filosofia antispecista con un approccio antropologico e comparativo. Ha partecipato come relatrice a convegni e festival, collaborando con università italiane ed estere. Il suo libro d’esordio Animalità tradita: le radici dello specismo analizza, con una prospettiva storico-filosofica, il rapporto tra identità umana e mondo animale, indagando pratiche e narrazioni che hanno contribuito a giustificare oppressioni.
