Unlimit Your Limits, Please: How Facing Death Set Me Free | Achim Nowak | TEDxPraça Gil Eanes

When do our clear intentions become a personal limit? How does our certainty become our Achilles heel? At 33, Achim Nowak was diagnosed with HIV and told he had two years to live. 36 years later, in this deeply personal talk, Achim unpacks the wisdom he found in his quest to unlimit his life. He exhorts us to boldly ditch old dreams, unlock our inner freedom, and unwaveringly choose the path of joy. Achim Nowak is a 4x author, 2x TEDx speaker, host of the My Fourth Act podcast, and an executive coach to successful CEOs around the world. His life includes roaming the archaeological digs of the Middle East as a child, living on Tobago where he became a windsurfer, helming peace projects for the Peres Center for Peace, and having a career as a professional theatre director in New York. A citizen of Germany, Achim now resides in Portugal. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
