This is what happy people do | Mark Laurence Zammit | TEDxUniversityofMalta
Life has never been objectively better, yet it feels like it has never been worse. In his talk Mark argues that in trying to make life easier and happier for everyone, politics and social media in our modern world have inadvertently killed the one thing that has proven, time and again, to make us truly happy. Mark explores how young people are asking for it and it’s time we resurrect what we killed. Mark Laurence Zammit is an award-winning journalist, TV host, and media producer, currently an assistant editor at Times of Malta. He gained recognition on Malta’s top current affairs shows, Xarabank and L-Erbgħa Fost il-Ġimgħa, and has hosted live debates, interviewing political and religious leaders in Malta and abroad. Reporting from New York, the Vatican, Strasbourg, and Vienna, he has won multiple journalism awards, including best investigative journalism (2024) and best filmed journalism (2023, 2024). A Gozitan with 12 years in media, he also authored a children’s book and created Malta’s first youth-driven musical theatre production.
