Chip “Make in Vietnam”: VIẾT TIẾP GIẤC MƠ CỦA CHA ANH | Vinh Quang Nguyễn | TEDxFTU Hanoi
From a dream nurtured over four decades by our ancestors, Vietnam's journey to conquer the global semiconductor industry has been concretized through countless efforts, filled with both opportunities and challenges. At ???? ???????? ????, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Quang - Founder and CEO of FPT Semiconductor, guided the audience on a journey back in time to reflect on this path to the present day.
Vietnam now once again is trying to conquer the world with “semiconductor chips”. The audience was captivated by the journey to conquer the global semiconductor industry through three significant phases, starting with the Z181 Factory and culminating in FPT's PMIC chips... Moreover, in today's era, Vietnam stands at the precipice of securing a position on the global semiconductor map, and to realize this ambitious goal, the greatest opportunity lies with Vietnam's youth.
With “Make in Vietnam” chips, Mr. Quang believes that Vietnam's young generation will continue the 40-year journey and fulfill the dream of our ancestors! In 2022, Nguyen Vinh Quang established FPT Semiconductor, carrying on the long-held ambition of producing "Make in Vietnam" semiconductors. This venture has resulted in the creation of the first microchips for IoT applications in the healthcare sector, marking a significant breakthrough in affirming Vietnam's technological prowess.
Moreover, FPT has selected Power Management IC (PMIC) design for IoT devices. Often considered the heart of electronic devices, PMIC ensures their smooth operation. These achievements have even extended to international markets like Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the US, Europe, and China, elevating Vietnam's standing in the global semiconductor industry.
With over a decade of experience and as a visionary leader, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Quang has driven FPT Semiconductor to achieve remarkable feats, from designing and developing various semiconductors to cultivating a talented engineering team and fostering international partnerships. - 14:14The puzzle perspective | Andrea Medina | TEDxRansomEvergladesSchoolWhat if the key to life’s toughest problems is hidden in the way you approach a simple puzzle? From childhood jigsaws to escape rooms, Andrea dives into the surprising power of puzzles to shape our minds, strengthen our relationships, and even help us see the world from a new perspective. Andrea has always enjoyed the challenge of solving puzzles, having completed over 100 escape rooms and puzzle hunts to date. As a dedicated member of her school's math team, she helped lead her team to victory at the INTEGIRLS all-female puzzle competition with her passion for problem-solving. From these experiences, she began to explore how puzzles foster collaboration and creativity, and why we can all benefit from embracing the problem-solving mindset puzzles encourage. Andrea is also a driven athlete on her school’s golf and lacrosse teams, and plays the viola in her school’s symphony orchestra. When not solving puzzles, you can find Andrea immersed in a good book or playing the guitar. - 15:52We are giving each other for granted, and it’s drifting us apart | Mariana Serna | TEDxTES YouthToo often, we only realize the value of a moment, a person, or a relationship when it begins to slip away. We wait—for the right time or for life to teach us a lesson—only to discover that time doesn’t wait for us. The scarcity of time can become a wake-up call—not to fear, but to love more deeply and live more intentionally. Mariana is an 8th Grade TES student. - 10:08Why social anxiety isn’t the end | Mariana Bento | TEDxTES YouthLiving with anxiety doesn’t mean living without hope. What we often call “shy” or “quiet” can be something deeper—something that shapes not only our actions, but our sense of self. But what if anxiety isn’t a flaw to fix, but a part of being human to understand? With the right tools, a bit of compassion, and the courage to show up anyway, even the most overwhelming moments can become manageable. And maybe, they can lead us somewhere stronger.
