Il duo musicale composto da Antonio Mario De Carlo (organetto, strumenti etnici e voce) e Gianfranco Contini (tamburello, percussioni, batteria), ci presenta alcuni brani che risalgono alla tradizione popolare lucana (tarantelle, quadriglie, serenate) rivisti attraverso nuove sonorità e gli effetti delle sue esperienze artistiche. I Lukanikó sono un duo musicale che nasce dall’intesa profonda di due amici, Antonio Mario De Carlo (organetto, strumenti etnici, voce) e Gianfranco Marcotini (tamburello, percussioni, batteria, costruttore di tamburi a cornice), che da oltre vent’anni condividono la passione e la ricerca sulla musica popolare tradizionale Lucana. Questa consolidata esperienza comune, maturata anche attraverso collaborazioni in formazioni come i “Musica Lucania“, “Acustica“, la partecipazione a innumerevoli feste popolari ed altri gruppi li ha portati a fondare I Lukanikó, una vera e propria confluenza delle loro avventure artistiche. Attualmente, Antonio Mario e Gianfranco sono anche tra i fondatori di “Taverna Penta“, un gruppo dedicato alle musiche da matrimonio del nord della Basilicata, con molti dei brani frutto della ricerca di Antonio Mario De Carlo. Beyond films, she is an active figure in the independent music scene, exploring genres like pop, jazz, R&B, and trip-hop.Her song "Aga Naga" from Ponniyin Selvan gained widespread popularity, and in 2024, she is set to debut as a music composer for the film The Test. Writer-director Farhad Samji traces a 22-year journey through Bollywood, from derision at home to writing hits and directing major comedies. He recalls how a cousin’s mockery ignited the creative flame, how a chance break (and champions such as Salman Khan) opened doors, and how a blunt diagnosis from Ram Gopal Verma redirected him from lyricism to character-driven screenplay and dialogue writing.Farhad reflects candidly on the ups and downs of a film career (72 films written, multiple directorial ventures), the politics and patience required, and the simple rule that guided him: follow your heart. With humor, humility and a poet’s sensibility, he offers practical lessons about passion, persistence and why creativity has no full stop.
