How to overcome your fear of “no" | Lindsey Mazza | TEDxMcMasterU

Lindsey Mazza was born into a world not made for her and became accustomed to hearing the word no. While others around her accepted no as defeat, she saw each no as an opportunity to pivot and find her own yes based on her individuality. Mazza has harnessed the power of no, and uses her life lessons learned to help you do the same. Lindsey Mazza is a founding partner of a multi-city law firm, a disability advocate, and a leadership consultant focused on inclusion and workplace equity. She was born with Holt-Oram Syndrome, a genetic condition that affects bone and heart development, and has used her lived experience to lead with empathy and strength. Lindsey's TEDx talk examines the transformative role of rejection in her personal and professional journey. She explains how each "no" taught her to be resourceful, resilient, and more authentically herself, and offers guidance to others looking to find power in moments of resistance. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
