In this talk, Angel Wu sketches the range of emotions and thoughts that arose while bearing witness to Israel's brutal genocide in Gaza from afar, reconciling her identities as both an ordinary university student in Hong Kong and a fervid traveller who previously worked in Palestine and Lebanon. Angel Wu is a undergraduate student at the University of Hong Kong studying business administration and law. She has a strong interest in law and international affairs, with experience conducting research in the fields of statelessness, forced displacement, and labour migration with NGOs based in Hong Kong, Russia, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq, and Nepal. Lo sport le ha insegnato resilienza, empatia e il valore del “flow”, quella concentrazione totale che porta oltre i limiti.
