Breaking the Mould | Oyedunni Arulogun | TEDxDugbe

To open her talk, Professor Oyedunni Arulogun illustrates with the talking drum, native to the Yoruba people of western Nigeria. Her talk centres on daring to push the boundaries of societal expectations and personal limitations. She realised her mould when a relative expressed pessimism about her chosen course of study. 40 years later, with a stack of feats to her name, she has defied the odds and broken the mould. Professor Oyedunni Sola ARULOGUN is a leading expert in health promotion and education with over two decades of experience at the University of Ibadan. She is the first female professor of health promotion and education and the first female Dean of the Faculty of Public Health at the University of Ibadan. Among other things, she was the director for Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, University of Ibadan (Oyo State, Nigeria) and now the Vice-Chancellor of Chrisland University, Ogun State. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
