Each Person Learns in Their Own Style | Bùi Mạnh Hùng | TEDxBTEC FPT Hanoi
The talk “Each Person Learns in Their Own Style” begins with a question: why do some students grasp a lesson quickly while others struggle? The answer lies in the fact that everyone has a unique learning style and way of processing information. Traditional education often overlooks this diversity, missing out on many hidden potentials. With AI, we can now create personalized learning paths for each individual. The Two Sigma study has shown that students who receive one-on-one tutoring perform significantly better. The speaker shares about Aiducation – a project born from the belief that everyone deserves to learn in a way that suits them best. The talk concludes with the message: each person is a unique piece of the educational MOSAIC, and AI is the tool that can help complete the picture. He scored 1560 on the SAT and 119 on the TOEFL, received offers from Stanford, Johns Hopkins, UC Berkeley, and UCLA, and chose to pursue both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Artificial Intelligence at Stanford University, one of the world's top institutions. Not only does he have an impressive academic background, but he has also spent years conducting research at AI labs in Stanford and New York. He is also the founder and CEO of Aiducation - a pioneering startup that personalizes education through artificial intelligence. In this dynamic talk, the speaker explores how gamification can supercharge education by turning lessons into engaging, brain-boosting challenges. Discover how game mechanics like rewards, levels, and storytelling can transform classrooms—and why tapping into our brain’s "cheat codes" might be the key to deeper learning and motivation. It all started in 2017, when I was a twelve year old child. We had just landed in Türkiye due to my traveler family, a land of captivating history and vibrant culture. Yet, a language barrier stood between me and the world around me. Feeling isolated and quite bored, I found myself drawn to the familiar glow of my father's old computer. In a quest for virtual adventures, I stumbled upon Code.org, a website that promised to unlock the secrets of coding. Little did I know, it would be the spark that ignited a lifelong passion for technology. Those first blocks of code were like magic spells, weaving digital worlds into existence. I devoured the introductory courses on Code.org, collecting certificates with childlike pride. Each challenge solved fueled a burning curiosity – what else could this code create? This newfound fascination propelled me to delve deeper, to unravel the mysteries behind the ones and zeros that powered the digital world.
