In her talk “Bởi vì tôi chọn thế.” (Because I choose to.), Dr. Nguyễn Thị Huyền Châu invites the audience to reflect on the power of human choice, the courage to make decisions not because we must, but because we choose to. Through compelling insights and personal reflections, through references to Eastern & Western philosophy and modern culture, she challenges us to reclaim the authenticity of our inner voice in such a rapidly changing world, which is driven by technology and conformity.Dr. Nguyễn Thị Huyền Châu grows a deep interest in human behavior, education, and the intersection between technology and emotional intelligence. Known for her engaging teaching style and thought-provoking perspectives, she continuously inspires her students to think beyond boundaries and act with intention. Dr. Nguyen Thi Huyen Chau arrived at Thang Long University in 2016 and has been the Head of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory since 2019. Since 2022, she has also taken charge as the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and since 2023, she has become the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology.Dr. Huyen Chau has more than 20 years of experience in the domain of computer science, information technology and artificial intelligence. She has authored or co-authored 30 scientific works, having participated in 16 research projects, including 1 completed ministerial-level project and 1 national-level project that is being approved, the first government funded project for a university in the private sector in Vietnam.She subsequently obtained a Master and a PhD in Computer Science in 2007 and 2010 respectively, both from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Mécanique and d'Aérotechnique – ENSMA, France.
