How I Made Peace with Me | Salet Sarthika | TEDxGEMSInternationalSchool

At 14, Salet fought a hidden battle—people-pleasing, perfectionism, and silencing her true self. In this candid TED Talk, she reveals how she called a truce with her inner critic, embraced her authentic identity, and discovered that real peace comes from permitting yourself to be unapologetically you. A curious and creative learner. I was raised in Oman and recently moved to India, and growing up abroad while staying connected to my roots has shaped me into someone who’s observant, expressive, and open-minded. I have a wide range of interests—from playing football and the piano to drawing, dancing, and public speaking. I love expressing myself through art, movement, and words, and I’m deeply passionate about personal growth and exploring who I am through everything I do. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
