In his TED Talk Music Moves Us, Connects Us, and Shapes Who We Are, 6th grader Adrian Coffman explores the powerful role music plays in our lives. With enthusiasm and heart, he shares how music brings people together, expresses emotions words can’t, and helps shape our identity. His talk is a rhythmic reminder that music is more than sound—it’s connection, emotion, and a universal language that unites us all. Adrian Coffman is a 6th grader from Brown County Middle School. His parents' names are Lacey Roberts, and Kevin Coffman. His grandparents, Jennifer “Juju” Crutchett, and Steve “The Old Man” Crutchett are also very important to Adrian. One day, Adrian would like to be a performing artist, so he joined Ted-Ed to help him learn to speak to people without freaking out. He loved when he performed for his peers in the high school auditorium. He hopes that this speech will get people to get involved with music in some way, whether it be listening, playing an instrument, singing or joining a musical community.
