Djuena Tikuna é uma das vozes mais representativas da música indígena no Brasil. Por meio da sua voz e canção, ela transmite a mensagem de que a luta dos povos indígenas diz respeito à saúde do planeta e ao futuro da vida no planeta terra. Djuena Tikuna faz da sua música um instrumento de resistência e valorização das culturas originárias da Amazônia. Nascida na Aldeia Umariaçu II, no município de Tabatinga (AM), ela foi a primeira jornalista indígena formada no Amazonas e fez história, em 2017, ao se tornar a primeira mulher indígena a protagonizar um espetáculo musical no palco do Teatro Amazonas, intitulado Tchautchiüãne (“Minha Aldeia”, em português). Djuena também é idealizadora e produtora da primeira Mostra de Música Indígena do Amazonas, “WIYAE”, realizada em 2018. Já participou do projeto Sonora Brasil e levou sua arte para a França, Bélgica, Holanda e Áustria. Suas composições são cantadas em tikuna, idioma de seu povo, que habita a região fronteiriça entre Brasil, Colômbia e Peru.
