Il nucleare di ieri e le sfide di oggi (e l’ILVA) | Luca Romano | TEDxTaranto
Luca Romano, fisico e fondatore del progetto di divulgazione ‘L’avvocato dell’Atomo, tra i più seguiti al mondo sui temi energetici, ci guida attraverso un viaggio che inizia con la prima generazione di reattori nucleari, sviluppati negli anni ‘50, e arriva fino alle tecnologie di quarta generazione, che oggi permetterebbero di risolvere problemi complessi, come la produzione di idrogeno economico direttamente da processi termici - idrogeno a sua volta indispensabile per la decarbonizzazione di settori complessi, come la produzione di acciaio. È possibile pensare ad un futuro in cui la tecnologia più potente e pulita di tutte riuscirà a ‘domare’ anche un impianto problematico come l’ILVA? Luca Romano, noto come @avvocatoatomico, è divulgatore scientifico, autore e dottorando in ingegneria industriale presso l’Università di Roma Tor Vergata. Laureato in fisica teorica a Torino e con un master in giornalismo scientifico a Ferrara, ha fondato durante la pandemia L’Avvocato dell’Atomo, progetto di comunicazione dedicato a smontare la disinformazione sull’energia nucleare. Attivo sui principali social, promuove una visione della transizione energetica basata sulla complementarità tra nucleare e rinnovabili. Nel 2022 ha pubblicato L’avvocato dell’Atomo (Fazi Editore), con oltre 20.000 copie vendute, e nel 2023 ha fondato Eco&Brain – Il Festival dell’ambientalismo razionale, che ha già avuto edizioni di successo a Milano e Roma.
